Tekkit Lite #1 Picture Updates

Finally, here are the images taken of Tekkit Lite

Welcome to my house. It is not all that different from my usual base idea, because it is mostly basalt. Here lies the remains of a volcano, which is now gone and converted.

This is my main floor. It is also where all my Tekkit machines are right now. Front and center is all the good old IC2 things, two macerators, one extractor, and two electric furnaces. They are what I have been using most of the time to get new stuff. On the lower left is the new factorization stuff, which is causing me nothing but problems. I am trying to figure out how to make a grinder (similar to a macerator) actually WORK! I made the slag furnace work, which just gets me some extra lead in addition to sliver, but not much else right now. The glowy block right behind the slag furnace (the one that looks like a furnace) means that it will run on factorization power instead of coal.

Teleporting to the roof, the set of blocks on the left is my IC2 Low-voltage solar generators. The mess on the right is the factorization solar power.

Going back down, this is the second floor. Not much all that special here, just a vanilla enchanting table, brewery, and bed.

Skipping down, under the ground floor is where I have my farm. I was took worried about creepers to put it outside, so here it is. Carrots, Wheat, Potatoes, and Sugar is behind me. I have not yet found any melon seeds, come to think of it....

And now for a nice, scenic picture of my house in the middle of night, looking at my forge around the back of my house.

Tekkit Lite #1

Well, I have now actually created a Tekkit Lite world that I am going to play on. I started by Googling a few seeds until I found one that I liked (-12), which has two villages, a witches hut, and a temple all in fairly close range to spawn. My sister got in on this, so she hosted and we started our first Tekkit Lite LAN world!
We spawned into a grassy field, with a jungle to the south and the desert with the village in it to the north west. It took a while of Technical (ha ha) difficulties before I was able to join, so my sister had already been on until it was night. I showed up top the twang of skeletons trying to kill me. I fought off a few of the beasties, and managed to only die a couple times. she died a six times easily, At last it was morning. I gathered some wood, using treecapitor, and made myself some tools. Then we ran to the village. She immediately started harvesting all the plants (I gathered and was awed by the carrots and potatoes, this is the first time I have really played 1.4 so far), and I then went off and looted the town. We gathered as night was beginning to fall, and ran to the temple on the horizon. I boarded and lit up the temple, and then began to make the staircase down to the treasure chamber. My sister, being an idiot, saw me mining and decided to dig the blue wool in the center. An thus ended the temple. Shortly after we gave up. Later on, we started another world with the same seed, and this time we were much smarted about the whole diggy diggy hole thing.
I made a wonderful base out of the temple, making the lobby into a arboretum for my plants, and the top bit into my chambers. When my sister finally came around to pester me, she brought a family of creepers that got in through the main door. After the majority of the arboretum was blow to smithereens, I packed up and left the temple, moving on to the next village. It took lots of running around to find it, but the warping feature made it easy to return there. I built my customary basalt house, although I am trying something different with the floor layout (pictures to follow).
I started making the IC2 stuff so that I can improve my mining benefits, and have done some looking into about the Factorization stuff. I also hooked up a solar box, for the first time ever! I only have 4 low-voltage ones, but they seem very effective for what I have running now. My upcoming goal involves making something better then the dang batboxes, as they hold almost not EU.
I will extend this when I have the images.

Tekkit....Lite Continued

As a follow up to my previous post about the new Tekkit Lite, I have done some more research into the mods involved. Contrary to my previous statement about Mystcraft, it is actually a funny variation of a biome generator thing. It allows you to make books that can teleport you to another 'age' which is a kind of instance world. I have not done any experimenting with this mod, but it seems like it is a cross between a awesome way to regenerate resources and a total nuisance. When spawning in an 'age' you appear close to a star rift or something that you can go through to return to the normal world. Also, the instance world is not permanent. There is some kind of death block of doom, which slowly expands and destroys the instance world until it is all gone.
Factiorization is... well I haven't really checked. It appears to be very similar to IC2, just with more machines that do more things. Again, I have not had time to do much experimenting with this mod, although I will be in the nearish future. It does crazy stuff with power, having many power sources like those in IC2, only I don't know how to make them work.
Update, looking at this some more, I have discovered that there are some more things that this mod added. It added a 'packager,' which auto crafts all you extra crap into blocks (s iron ingots into iron block, lapis into lapis blocks, etc). I like this items, it seems like it will very quickly become very useful (you wind up with so much extra items in Tekkit...). There is also 'the maker,' which is better at its job than the packager. But they do the same thing. It has yet another form of electricity, so great even more crap to deal with. Hopefully there will be a converter build so I can make my geothermal energy into Factorization energy. There is another furnace, but is is worse than making dust, so I'm never going to do anything. A key feature of this mod is that it adds barrels, which hold tons of items.
EE3 is rubbish. there is an update which I have not gotten yet, but currently it doesn't work, so therefore is rubbish.
The previous mod that added turtles and computers has been expanded, there is now a few more computer blocks and tons and tons of different turtle. I am not good at making them work, they use something like CMD in game, but I can make it dance.
Bluelectiricty or whatever it is called has been improved a bit. There is now a couple new ways to make power, and a couple more uses for them. This is another thing I have not done much with, mostly because it was useless during the original Tekkit.
Steve's carts add more minecart that can do lots of fun stuff. It appears as if there is enough awesome stuff that this will make the annoyance of railcraft worth the while.

Tekkit......Lite!

I was surprised yesterday to discover that there is finally a version of Tekkit upgraded to the new version of Minecraft. However, it is still not complete, because some of the mods (EE) are still not upgraded. So they created effectively a beta version of Tekkit to appease all of us that have been demanding a new version. It has finally, come although most servers will probably be running Tekkit Classic for a while until there is a complete and stable version available.
The new version of Tekkit not only is for newer versions, but it also adds some new mods to the mod list. Factorization is a new one that I have not experimented on at all, so don't know about. TreeCapitator is AWSOME! It cuts down all tree above the bit that you cut, still damaging the axe as if you had but instantly. Combined with the jungle trees or the massive rubber trees, this can be impressive to an extreme. Another added mod is mystcraft, which has been in other Technic Pack packs, but I have not looked closely at. I think it is a complex version of EE2, with emc as a liquid. I might be wrong. Also, EE has been (partially) upgraded to EE3. It is not finished, and basically doesn't work, and the whole concept of it has changed. It is not finished and just glitches to death right now, so avoid it if you can. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, although it is very different now :(. All you people who complained about how OP EE2 was,you can rejoice now.
I will be looking for a server to play on for a bit, although might do some SSP first to learn the mods I do not know.

Skyrim 1

Well, its been a very long time since I have last posted anything. School has taken a lot of time, and I have not had much time to plat Tekkit. A couple days ago my friend got Skyrim, and that catalyzed me getting back into it. I played a few hours earlier, finally finding the save for my primary character.
A Imperial dual sword wielder/ conjurer, level 41. Now I can have a dragon sword, so i'm going to be comparing it to my current Dawnbreaker and Daedric sword.
Anyways, I finally got the DLC available for PC, Hearthfire and. Dawnguard. Hearthfire adds the ability to build custom houses in the three regions that don't already have one. Dawnguard makes vampires and werewolves more enjoyable to play, as well as doing some other stuff. I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know much about it.
I spent most of yesterday collecting materials to build my house up. I chose to do the Morthal one, because it seemed like one of the nicest ones. (in retrospect, the Halajamarch one may have been better to try). I successfully finished building the house in the swamp (wow I forgot what it is called already). It took a long time to get all the materials, and I had a great and familiar time gathering iron ingots from the many merchants. If I get some screenshots of the finished house, I will post them.
Now I have almost completely built everything possible in this one house, and am very slowly moving everything from my primary house  (Herjim) to this new one. I have so much crap that it will take a pile of runs to finish, but the new house is perfect for storage. I have a basement with space to do almost anything, and I also built armoury to store all of my gear. I have been having a problem with the display cases however, cause I can't place anything on them. This is pissing me off, because I have a pile of display cases. I am going to google if anyone else has this problem, and worst case scenario I can attempt to workshop it into working.
My long term plan in Skyrim is that I am thinking about just going off and buying every house that exists (I have lots of money)  and then doing the Dawnguard stuff. I look forward to finally being able to do cool upgrades to my werewolf and have it be actually a little bit acceptably strong. Anyways, I believe it will be very long and tedious to finally reach my goal, of DOING EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!
